With over 12 years experience in the serviced office industry across the UK and NZ, flexible working is something I am really passionate about. Working with a local company really gives me the opportunity to work with what our clients needs are and offer them a solution tailor-made to them, it also means we can change and adapt our offering to match what is going on in the market. Overseeing both the operations and sales for the business and looking at future projects and growth keeps me busy throughout the day.

Tell us a little about your history and how you came to work at Urban Hub?
I’ve worked a variety of hospitality jobs over the years and have managed to gain a good range of skills and experience. I had set off to travel Europe on a one-way ticket a few years ago, unfortunately Covid brought me back home sooner than expected in late 2020.
Since returning to New Zealand I got back into hospitality but predominantly in functions and events which I really enjoy. I decided that where I really wanted to be was more in the planning and coordinating side of events, rather than just the hospitality side. This role at Urban Hub is perfect for me to learn and grow in my career and I’m happy that I found the job when I did.
What energizes you the most about being involved within the Urban Hub community?
The ability to be able to connect with a variety of brilliant people each day definitely makes me motivated and proud to be a part of this community. It’s a very pleasant atmosphere to be in, with plenty of community activities and always somebody around who is up for a chat.
Outside of work, what would we find you doing in your down time?
I love a good long walk and relaxing at home, as well as going out to see live music and catching up with friends. In the summer I try to go camping as much as possible and travel around, experiencing all the beautiful places around the country.

In my role here, I oversee the day to day operations of the Hub as well as provide solutions customised to your business requirements and ensure these are delivered to the highest standard. ”

I had finished studying my Bachelors in Visual Communication and Design. After studying this, I wanted to build my knowledge in business. I felt a receptionist would be a great start to build my way up. That’s when I applied for a position at Urban Hub.
What energizes you the most about being involved within the Urban Hub community?
I’m always learning something new from my colleagues and the clients. Also, how everyone in the team supports each other when needed.
Outside of work, what would we find you doing in your down time?
I do a lot of different things in my down time, but I usually head over to the beach and just relax or take a walk around the coast to Red Rocks. Otherwise, my partner and I will drive out to Titahi Bay chatting and listening to music.

During the weekend, you would find me heading to Ohakune for a ski, playing social football with my friends and crashed on the couch for UFC Sundays.
